Bohemian Eucalyptus & Dried Bloom Wall Hangin

A simple yet sophisticated wall decor piece that brings the serenity of nature into your home without the complexity of weaving or knots. This project focuses on organic textures and minimalist design for an effortless boho-chic aesthetic.

Materials

  • A natural wooden branch or a copper rod (approx. 50cm long)
  • Fresh or preserved Eucalyptus branches
  • Dried pampas grass and bunny tails (Lagurus ovatus)
  • Natural jute twine or thin suede cord
  • Clear floral wire or small wooden clips
  • Sharp scissors

Realization

  1. Clean the wooden branch of any dust or loose bark, ensuring it has a beautiful natural texture.
  2. Cut the jute twine to your desired length and tie it to both ends of the branch to create a hanger.
  3. Layer the eucalyptus stems against the branch, varying their heights to create a cascading effect.
  4. Secure the stems to the branch using small pieces of floral wire or jute twine, hiding the knots behind the leaves.
  5. Insert the dried pampas grass and bunny tails between the eucalyptus layers to add volume and contrasting soft textures.
  6. Trim any excess stems at the top for a clean look and hang your creation on a neutral-colored wall.

Variations

  • Monochrome White: Use bleached dried flowers and a white-washed branch for a 'Scandi-Boho' look.
  • Desert Sunset: Incorporate dried orange slices and terracotta-colored ribbons for a warmer palette.
  • Metallic Touch: Spray paint the tips of the eucalyptus with gold leaf for a more glamorous finish.
