OLIVE OIL FOR DOUBLE CLEASING
Freepic.com |
Olive oil is traditionally used to soothe sunburn, eczema and various dermatoses; as a basis for the preparation of oleolites and ointments and in the composition of the most eudermic soaps, in sun protection products.
It is used in the treatment of dry, delicate, sensitive, reddened, eczematous skin, in the balancing treatment of seborrheic skin.
In domestic use, extra virgin cold-pressed oil can be used for anointing, or added in clay masks, honey, yogurt, etc.
Although it does not have as good filtering capacity as cereal germ oils, due to its soothing characteristics it can be used as a sun oil for skin that is not too sensitive or already a little tanned.
Those who have a borrhoeic skin can use olive oil for rebalancing cleansing: with a wad soaked in oil, rub the skin and then remove everything with another dry wadding, and finally rinse with fresh water. This type of cleaning does not "degrease" the skin while removing the dirt, and thus avoids stimulating the skin to new hypersecretion.
