WHAT IS SKIN MICROBIOTA?

The skin is an ecosystem, endowed with its own life. This is the conclusion of the most recent scientific studies of dermatology. The skin surface hosts, in fact, a large population of bacteria that helps keep it healthy. All this goes by the name of skin microbiota *. The alteration of these "good" bacteria causes imbalances that lead to various skin problems.

WHAT DOES THE SKIN MICROBIOT DO?
In addition to keeping the skin healthy, one of the functions of the skin microbiota is the elimination of dead cells, a very useful process in all those situations where it is necessary to repair or heal the skin. The colonies of microorganisms that make up the skin microbiota also form a sort of protective barrier that "neutralizes" the attack by external agents.

ALTERED MICROBIOTE = SKIN PROBLEMS
Skin damage occurs when this or that type of bacterium prevails in the skin microbiota which alter the delicate balance: this is the case of acne, seborrheic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, rosacea or dandruff. Sometimes even severe conditions of dry skin, resistant to any treatment, can depend on an alteration of the microbiome of the skin.

EXPERT ADVICE TO KEEP THE SKIN MICROBIOTE IN BALANCE
Using cosmetics and detergents free of petroleum waste products (paraffins and mineral oils) generally allows keeping the skin in good condition respecting the biodiversity of its wonderful and refined ecosystem.
