WHAT IS RETINOL?

Today I want to talk about a very important topic for all women who want to preserve the elasticity of their skin without resorting to cosmetic surgery.

I would like to be able to protect my skin from cell degradation.
I searched for a long time which was the most effective excipient and so I discovered retinol. Retinol is essential because it helps the skin to renew itself and to form "all the components it needs", if we feed the skin every day we force it to remain a slave to the nourishment that it is no longer able to produce, but if we help it to renew itself and to produce by itself the components that help it stay young ... then we have won a second youth.

What is retinol? Why is it so important for our skin?

Retinol is a vitamin A derivative that could be the single best ingredient in skincare. It helps increase skin cell turnover rate. Beyond that, it's one of the best ways to reduce acne, treat dark spots/mild acne scars, soften fine lines, improve skin texture, and reverse sun damage.

Side effects of retinol include: redness, peeling of the skin, itchiness, photo-sensitivity, and irritation. Retinol can be used more often over time, but dermatologists suggest starting with a pea-size dollop, two or three nights a week. This is so the skin can build a tolerance to the ingredient, therefore becoming more accustomed to it over time.

A word of caution: Retinol-based products can make you more sensitive to the sun. Therefore,
it's recommended to avoid sun exposure during peak hours. Be diligent about applying SPF 30 or higher in the morning. Retinol should only be used at night.
