OMEGA - 3: THE BENEFITS FOR THE SKIN
An international study published in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition found that people who followed diets high in fish and seafood had fewer skin wrinkles.
This could be due to the fact that Omega-3 fatty acids present in fish and seafood slow down the skin's "wrinkle" formation process.
The development of wrinkles is one of the outcomes of cellular inflammation: according to scholars, inflammatory chemicals act on collagen, as if they were acid rain.
Omega-3s lower the destructive power of inflammatory molecules, and therefore help maintain healthy skin.
