DIY STRAWBERRY JAM



What could be better than a genuine homemade strawberry jam to enjoy on a slice of bread for breakfast? 


It's very simple, just get some strawberries from organic farming and it's done. 

The ingredients: 

1 kg of strawberries 
400 g of granulated white sugar 

How to make strawberry jam at home:

wash and cut the strawberries into small pieces once you have removed the stem. 
Put them all in a fairly large pan with the sugar and simmer for about half an hour. 
After this time begin to test the saucer to see if the jam is cooked. 
This test consists of checking whether a small amount of jam placed on an inverted saucer, once it has cooled, falls or not. 
If then the strawberry jam is not ready yet, if instead it has a thick and homogeneous consistency then you can begin to put it inside jars sterilized with drops of food alcohol on the surface and then close.
